In partnership with the main French market for wines and spirits (VentealaPropriete.com), Air France launches the exclusive Air France LaCave cellar, a unique opportunity to taste the best wines and champagnes served during the airline flights and airport lounges.
The exceptional selection is signed by the world’s best sommelier in 2013, Paolo Basso. In addition to the incredible variety of labels available at the online store, there are special offers and invitations for tastings.
Air France customers will be able to know the service and order the drinks also during the flights. Thanks to the Air France Connect solution, passengers can choose wines even being 10,000 meters high. It’s not just about the journey, because the experience with the airline will continue at home.
For everyone to discover what France can offer in terms of drinks, Air France, every two months, renews the offer of wines and champagnes available on board. As a matter of curiosity, the airline serves 800,000 bottles of wine in La Première and Business classes, and 750,000 bottles of champagne in all cabins, including Economy Class.
For this May, these are some examples of drinks available at LaCave.airfrance.com: Champagne Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2007; Bordeaux Saint-Julien Château Léoville Poyferré 2014; Bordeaux Sauternes Château Suduiraut 2011 1er Cru Classé; Beaune 1er cru Les Bressandes 2013 Louis Jadot; Whisky Bellevoye.
