In 2019, eight new exceptional properties were added to The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) luxury portfolio, totaling more than 400 independent hotels.

+ Al Bait Sharjah (Sharjah, United Arab Emirates)
Opened in December 2018, it is part of an ambitious conservation Emirates project, located in an area of more than ten hectares. With 53 rooms, 15 meter outdoor pool and restaurants for exotic experiences, all are invited to also relax in the Spa, taking care of body and mind from traditional beauty and wellness treatments;
+ Hotel Antigon Urban Chic (Thessaloniki, Greece)
With a prime location in one of the most vibrant Greek cities, the hotel offers 38 rooms and suites with exceptional design. In addition to the pool on the rooftop, guests and visitors can enjoy creative drinks at the Duval-Leroy Champagne Bar as well as live an authentic gastronomic experience with dishes and ingredients from the region;
+ Britannia Hotel (Trondheim, Norway)
After renovating approximately $150 million, the iconic Britannia Hotel was reopened in 2019, featuring 257 rooms, Spa, indoor pool, fitness center and six choices of bars and restaurants run by award-winning Chefs;
+ Hotel Des Indes (The Hague, The Netherlands)
Hotel Des Indes carries over 130 years of history. Sophisticated and traditional with 92 rooms and suites, the location is a very strong aspect – the hotel is in the center, very close to local attractions, including the beach. For lovers of art and sweets, the tip is to enjoy the delicious candy-shaped artwork tasting experience prepared by the hotel’s pastry Chef, which was inspired by recent exhibitions in The Netherlands;
+ Mr. C Coconut Grove (Coconut Grove, Florida, United States)
This hotel is inspired by Italian coast style with 100 rooms and suites, private terraces, exclusive rooftop and high standard European service. Opened in April 2019, Mr. C Coconut Grove is owned by the fourth generation of the Cipriani family;
+ Nobu Los Cabos (Los Cabos, Mexico)
Officially inaugurated in April 2019, this hotel displays a fusion of contemporary architecture with traditional Mexican elements. It is the first property in Mexico headed by Robert De Niro and Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. It offers 200 rooms and suites with design that blends the regional with Japanese minimalism;
+ Raya Heritage (Amphur Mae Rim, Thailand)
Raya Heritage, on the banks of the Ping River, celebrates traditional Thai design from the beautiful curating of unique furniture and handmade accessories by local artisans. There are 33 suites with external area and private pools;
+ Savoy Palace (Funchal, Portugal)
Designed by the award winning RH+ office, along with interior designer Nini Andrade Silva, Savoy Palace is scheduled to open in June 2019. It will have 306 luxury rooms and 43 elegant suites, bars and restaurants and the largest local Spa.
