Celebrating the Royal baby of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as Mother’s Day, Shangri-La Hotel London offers the Royal High Tea until 12 May.
The creative Afternoon Tea includes traditional family recipes from the legendary hotel’s Pastry Chefs, paying tribute to the women who inspired them to pursue a career in Gastronomy.
Royal High Tea represents the love for cooking. The special Menu consists of British cakes and pastries, sandwiches with unique fillings, as well as teas and cocktails with or without alcohol.
It is served in the sophisticated TING restaurant with the stunning views of London’s iconic touristic sights. Shangri-La Hotel, also celebrating motherhood, offers pregnant women a gift.
Available until next Sunday, Royal High Tea is 62 euros/person, including a cocktail. Discover the Menu:
Blueberry Cheesecake by the Mother of Pastry Chef, Benoit;
Passionfruit Cream by the Mother of Executive Sous Chef, David;
Strawberry Mousse by the Chef Lucy’s Grandmother;
Recipe from Bara Brith, by the Mother of Executive Chef Jeremy;
Vistoria Sponge by the Chef Emma’s Grandmother;
Little Miss Royal (pink) – Vodka, Ratafia (type of fortified wine), Isake Classic (famous sake created by a Japanese sake expert and a French sommelier) and egg white;
The Little Prince (blue) – Gin, Curacao Blue, Pineapple, Lemon and Pastis Glacial Mint;
Rock-A-Bye Baby (pink) – Very Berry (macerated red fruit mix), condensed milk, apple, raspberry and lemon;
Cloud Nine (blue) – Butterfly pea flower tea, bluish-colored made from the infusion of the plant leaves, with coconut cream, lemon and ginger.
